Cancer is a horrible disease that can upheave your life and that of your loved ones. There are numerous different types of cancer, but the most common are breast, lung, and liver cancer. It often takes multiple sessions of chemotherapy and radiation to eradicate cancer completely. The best thing you can do is to take the necessary steps to prevent it in the first place. This means changing your lifestyle and diet, to incorporate these cancer-preventing foods to lower your risk:

1. Bright fruits and veggies
If a vegetable is vibrating brightly colored pigments, you can be sure that is has a ton of amazing nutrients and minerals in it. Carotenoids are what is found in most berries, sweet potatoes, and citrus fruits. These will help to fight cancers in your eyes, skin, and organs.

When you are a kid your parents tell you to eat your broccoli, so you can grow to be big and strong. Although that’s not the only thing it can do. It contains important enzymes that help protect your body from harmful substances like environmental pollutants.

3. Nuts and seeds

5. Whole grains
Whole grain bread can be a bit of a switch from the bland, white sandwich bread that you may be used to. Once you get used to it, you will be amazed at how filling and tasty it actually is. It contains plenty of saponins and antioxidants that can be used to fight or prevent cancer.
